Hi, I’m Brett, a somatically oriented psychotherapist.
Like many of the people I work with, I know what it’s like to live in survival mode. Years ago, I reached a point of burnout that left me searching for a different way forward. What I discovered is that healing doesn’t come from pushing harder, it comes from slowing down and listening more deeply.
Through my own journey with somatic practices and therapy, I came to see that the body isn’t the problem, but the pathway back to wholeness. That understanding reshaped my life and continues to guide how I support the people I work with today.
My Approach
Therapy is more than talking through problems, it’s about reconnecting with the wisdom of your body. When overwhelming experiences or trauma occur, our bodies often hold onto the survival responses long after the event has passed. This can show up as anxiety, depression, chronic stress, or a sense of disconnection from yourself and others.
By gently listening to the body, we begin to restore balance to the nervous system, release what has been stuck, and recover a greater capacity for safety, connection, and resilience. I believe lasting change happens when we slow down, attune to what’s present, and create space for the body to complete what it couldn’t before.
